A woman who accidentally set fire to clothes inside a laundromat drove her car into the business to put it out.
It was just before midnight on Wednesday when the bizarre saga unfolded at Quality Drycleaning & Laundromat on Caloundra Road in Clarkson, north of Perth.

Police confirmed “emergency services were called to reports a car had been driven into the premises and a pile of clothes was on fire”.

A spokesperson says early inquiries suggest the driver, the only person in the car at the time, “accidentally set clothing alight and was attempting to regain access to the premises after it became locked”.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A witness said the woman appeared to have been let go after police arrived.
