Anthony Albanese has apologised after saying he would “shag” Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue, following days of controversy.
The Prime Minister made the comments last week on a podcast episode hosted by comedian Nikki Osborne.

During the episode, the Prime Minister was asked by Ms Osborne if he would “shag, marry or date” three female Australian celebrities – one of whom was Kylie Minogue.
After initially saying he was only recently married, Mr Albanese eventually said he would do “all of the above” to Kylie Minogue.
“I apologise unequivocally for the comments,” Mr Albanese said in a statement released on Monday morning.
